The film's title Villu (bow) indicates a man Pugazh, who avenges for his father (arrow) fired at his enemies to destroy them. The film was also dubbed into Hindi as Ek Aur Jaanbaaz Khiladi. The story revolves around an assassin who infiltrates and destroys a criminal gang to avenge his father's death. Villu settled to a domestic distributor profit of ₹50 lakhs.
